Men can be weird at times. They’ll shed tears of joy or sadness after a football match, but they won’t explicitly show their feelings to the woman they’ve been together with for many years.

But what if you’re doubting whether your husband loves you at all? What signs are there?

Well, today, we’re focusing on the signs your husband truly loves you, even if he doesn’t always show it.

Some are more obvious than others, but they all paint a clear picture.

1) Shared adventures

Let’s start with something exciting. Something that brings you together and creates a stronger bond even.

And that’s shared adventures, trips, activities, etc.

If he’s actively and regularly looking for new experiences and adventures to share together, he’s affirming his excitement about building a life of memorable moments with you.

This eagerness to explore together adds vibrancy to your relationship and makes your digital photo album burst at the seams.

But you’re also growing together in the process.

2) Growing together

Actively seeking ways for both of you to learn, evolve, and grow shows his commitment to the long-term health of the relationship.

This shared pursuit of personal development allows you both to support each other’s individual growth while strengthening your bond.

Identifying shared goals, whether related to fitness, career, travel, or other areas of life, provides a sense of direction and purpose.

And we know that regularly discussing personal aspirations, fears, and dreams creates a space for vulnerability and encourages personal development.

Sharing these thoughts results in deeper understanding and offers opportunities for mutual encouragement.

3) Encouraging your passions

When he not only supports but actively encourages your hobbies and interests, it reveals his investment in your personal growth and happiness.

He values your uniqueness and wants you to thrive in all aspects of your life.

For example, my friend loves photography, and she’s always snapping pictures. Her husband surprised her with a photography workshop, and they even took a day trip to a scenic location where she practiced her skills.

He also gave her a new lens he knew she’d been eyeing.

On the other hand, my wife is on a fitness journey. I recently introduced her to jumping rope, and she LOVES it. I encouraged her further by getting her the best and the most comfortable and long-lasting ropes she uses daily.

4) Random acts of kindness

Some men don’t show or even say nearly enough how much they love you. It’s incredibly easy, yet, for some reason, the thought doesn’t cross their minds.

However, they might do random acts of kindness.

Thoughtful gestures like leaving surprise notes or preparing a special treat illustrate their desire to brighten your day unexpectedly.

Or, for example, letting you sleep in while he’s preparing breakfast or kids for school. Or making a coffee run when he knows you desperately need a cup of Joe.

5) Respecting your family and friends

His ability to get along with and show respect for your loved ones means he’s committed to integrating into your life and forming positive relationships with those who matter to you.

Sometimes, he also encourages you to work on your relationship with your parents or siblings when you have past miscommunications or disagreements.

After all, we all know how getting along with your spouse’s family can sometimes be a handful. Especially if they aren’t the most likable people in the world or have a difficult attitude.

6) Understanding nonverbal cues

The ability to read your emotions and needs without explicit communication reflects a deep level of emotional intimacy

It’s one of the things we often take for granted because it’s such a low-key ability or even a skill.

It typically develops after years of being together and is naturally not something most couples have in the beginning.

7) Celebrating your achievements

Another thing that shows how much your husband loves you is his genuine pride and excitement for your successes, whether big achievements or small victories.

This proves his investment in your happiness and admiration for your abilities.

Most people don’t spend much time looking at their small triumphs. They only focus on the big stuff, which is a shame.

Every little victory you get is an opportunity to celebrate together and create a stronger and long-lasting bond.

8) Shared responsibilities

Active participation in shared responsibilities like parenting, household chores, or managing finances reinforces the idea of your partnership as a team.

If your husband has a collaborative approach to responsibilities, it also confirms his dedication to building a harmonious and balanced life together.

There are still too many cases where the wife does 90% of all the things at home even though both partners work full-time.

I’m often baffled when I see this in some of my friend’s relationships.

9) Expressing vulnerability

Most men, myself included, have a real problem expressing vulnerability to anyone, including their partner.

It’s just not in our nature to display vulnerability and emotions. I know this is a gross generalization, but from my experience as a man and knowing many others, it’s definitely true.

So, if your husband or partner starts sharing his fears, insecurities, and challenges with you, he must trust you greatly.

By opening up, he’s inviting you into his emotional space, which deepens your bond and allows for a more profound connection.

When it happens, you need to realize to yourself how rare and special it is. It’s like spotting a shooting star on a sunny day or finding a four-leaf clover in a field of dandelions.

10) Forgiving and moving on

Forgive and forget is not something most people do. They often hold grudges for a long time, even against their loved ones.

His willingness to forgive and move forward after disagreements or mistakes verifies he’s committed to preserving a positive, forward-focused relationship.

It shows he values your relationship more than holding onto grudges.

11) Introducing you to his passions

Men are kids but with bigger toys, right? They have more disposable income, and they often spend it on $1,000 R/C cars, drones, dirt bikes, Lego sets, computers, and the list goes on and on.

A way of showing you how much he loves you is by sharing his interests and hobbies with you. For better or worse.

With this, he reveals a desire to fully integrate you into his life.

This act of sharing also allows for mutual understanding, shared experiences (which we know is important), and an opportunity to grow closer.

12) Silent support

Body language is incredibly important as it displays our mood, emotions, grumpiness, etc. As someone who can be moody, I appreciate my wife giving me space when she sees I need it.

Of course, I do the same for her because I know how hard she works.

Recognizing when you need space or solitude and providing support without pressure shows your husband’s emotional intelligence and his respect for your independence.

This type of support is a testament to his ability to adapt to your emotional needs. And if he can recognize when to bring out a glass of wine or make a bubble bath for you, even better.

13) Being playful

I just love people who have a playful mindset and outlook on life. They’re the counterweight to those who take everything too seriously and don’t have a funny bone in their entire body.

Besides, engaging in playful interactions keeps the relationship dynamic and fun.

If your husband is regularly lighthearted with you, it highlights how much he enjoys your company and his urge to maintain a joyful connection.

14) Taking care of himself

This is something that’s very important. We all need to take care of ourselves, yet some do a less-than-stellar job.

Those men who prioritize their own well-being recognize that their overall health contributes greatly to the strength of the relationship.

Too many partners, men and women, turn into blobs almost as soon as they marry. It’s a sad sight, and it must bring the quality of life way down for them.

15) Placing your needs first

And finally, prioritizing your comfort and happiness in different situations proves his selflessness and devotion to creating a climate where you feel valued and cared for.

He doesn’t have to put you on a pedestal to prove his loyalty and love to you, but if he puts your needs in front of his, he definitely proves his love for you.
